2014 Competitive Season

A summary of successes of the 2014 Competitive Teams

Rookie Division

The Rookie A team (head coach Chad Hussick, assistant coach Robert Turcotte) had a very successful season:

  • Winning the Brockville Rookie Tournament
  • Winning the Rookie "A" division of the Scott Tokessy Memorial Tournament
  • Finishing 1st in the D2/D6 City Interlock Rookie Canadian season
  • Winning the D2/D6 City Interlock Rookie Canadian Championship

Kanata had 2 Rookie B teams for the 2014 season. Congratulations to the Rookie B1 team (head coach John Rasmussen, assistant coach Ed White) for:

  • Finishing 1st in the D2/D6 City Interlock Rookie National season
  • Winning the D2/D6 City Interlock Rookie National Championship

 

Minor Division

The Minor A team (head coach Mark McConnell, assistant coaches Brian Cooney, Doug Gnam, James Hernandez, Paul O'Kane) proved to be a competitive team all season:

  • Winning the Minor Division of the Kemptville Summer Slam
  • Finalists in the Minor "A" division of the Scott Tokessy Memorial Tournament
  • Winning the D2/D6 City Interlock Minor Canadian Championship

 

Major Division

Major A team (head coach Alberto Vallejos, assistant coaches David Chase, Steven Miglia. Jeff Frost):

  • Finalists in the Kemptville Summer Slam
  • Finalists in the District 2 play-downs
  • Winning the CanAm Baseball Tournament in Syracuse
  • Winning the Major "A" division of the Scott Tokessy Memorial Tournament
  • Finalists in the D2/D6 City Interlock Major Canadian division

 

Intermediate Division

Intermediate team (head coach Lionel Dubois, assistant coach Paul Timmerman)

  • Semi-Finalists in the Provincial play-downs
  • Semi-Finalists Can-Am Tournament in Syracuse
  • Winning the Kanata Capital Cup Tournament

 

Junior Division

Junior A team (head coach Mike Tokessy, assistant coaches Andy Byrnes, Dan Kyle):

  • Semi-Finalists in the Kemptville Summer Slam
  • Winning the District 2 play-downs
  • Finalists in the Provincial play-downs
  • Finalists in the D2/D6 City Interlock Junior Canadian division

Junior B team (head coach Mike Hogan):

  • Semi-Finalists in the D2/D6 City Interlock Junior National division

 

Senior Division

Senior team (head coach Jeff Dever, assistant coaches Keith Allingham, Paul Cohen, Dave Dalton, Rick Norris):

  • Semi-Finalists in the D2/D6 City Interlock Senior division
