Winter Skills Registration for 2017
Updated Wednesday February 8, 2017 by Kanata Baseball Association.Winter Skills Information:
Update: Minor/Major Winter Skills is full.
Kanata Baseball Association offers Skills Development and Conditioning programs, known as "Winter Skills" over the period of February to the end of March/early April. We usually cannot get on the outdoor fields until May, so this is a great way to start off your season. 'Sort Outs" for House League teams occur during the month of April.
For 2017, we offer a Rookie program along with a Minor/Major program for players. In 2016, we had to turn away over 30 people as our programs filled quickly - we have attempted to add additional space this year. Please register early to avoid disappointment.
Rookie Winter Skills
These will run on Sunday afternoons at Lorne A. Cassidy Public School in Stittsville.
Session 1: Advanced players (12 - 1:25pm).
Players are considered to be "advanced" if he or she can throw a ball from shortstop to first base, can hit a thrown ball reliably, and has at least one year of experience in Rookie.
Session 2: Beginner players (1:30 - 3pm)
Players are considered to be "beginners" if he or she cannot throw a ball from shortstop to first base, cannot reliably hit a thrown ball, and has not played in the Rookie program before.
