Kanata Baseball Association
Updated Friday April 28, 2017 by Kanata Baseball Association. The Kanata Baseball Association is a non-profit membership organization that operates baseball programs for children ages 4 to 18 in the communities of Kanata, Stittsville, Richmond, Munster, Carp and Dunrobin.
House programs are operated under Little League as part of Ontario District 2 of Little League Canada.
Rep programs are operated under the National Capital Ontario Baseball Association affiliate of the Ontario Baseball Association.
We operate our league with a simple mandate: “To instill the values of honesty, loyalty, fair play and sportsmanship in our youth.”
Since 1981, we have been providing a structured baseball program for kids in the Kanata area.
Originally named the Kanata Little League Baseball and Softball Association, our league became known solely as the Kanata Little League Baseball Association in 1984, adopting the tenets and philosophies of Little League Canada in association with Little League Baseball Incorporated.
Over the years our league has grown from its humble beginnings. With a strong core of dedicated volunteers, we continue the tradition started over 30 years ago with the same conviction and dedication of our founders.
In 2016, the league adopted the name Kanata Baseball Association to better reflect the assortment of programs offered to its members. The KBA Constitution has been updated to reflect the resolution at the Annual General Meeting held on October 19th, 2016 (see document attached).
