Games are generally Monday through Thursday twice a week.  Players begin warm-up at 5:30 with games starting promptly at 6pm.  This is the first level of play where players pitch to opposing batters and umpires officiate the game.  Rainouts will be rescheduled on Fri-Sun.  There may be division wide Saturday clinics and coaches may organize additional team practices.

This is the first level of play where most baseball rules are followed. Fields have 60’ basepaths and 46’ pitching distances.  Players pitch to the opposing team, scores are kept, bases can be stolen, and only 9 players take the field at a time (the coach rotates all players into defensive positions in some manner throughout the game).

Umpires call the game, and a full rotational batting order is used per Little League rules. There are also pitch counts and 5 runs per inning limits.

At this level players should be wearing cleats and white baseball pants, a baseball glove size 10½” to 11½”, a batting helmet and a protective jock or jill.  Batting gloves may also be worn.  Only Little League approved bats sized 2 ¼” diameter are permitted.
