The purpose of the Fall program is to give our players a head start on next year and to extend the playing season while the weather is nice. This is also a chance to bring players together that were in different programs and teams over the regular season. Fall Ball starts in September and ends by Thanksgiving, October 9th.
The age groupings will depend on registration, but the following age groups are planned. These age groups may be adjusted based on the registration numbers.

There are no prerequisites to Fall Ball. Players may have played Little League, Baseball Ontario, or some other program like Softball. However this is not an entry level program and we expect that all participants have played ball before.
There are four components to the Kanata Fall Ball program:
Practices: Two practices a week will be scheduled for 10 scheduled practices. Rained out practices will not be re-scheduled. During this time will be focused is on player development - to pick up additional skills and get the most out of their ability.
Introduction to Training: Kanata Baseball has a great relationship with Pat Woodcock and the Elite Performance Academy. Each player will have two sessions to train with EPA at their facility on 93 Hines Rd, Kanata.
Exhibition Games: Where possible Exhibition games will be scheduled against other programs, teams or intersquad. These are dependent on availability and weather and are not guaranteed.
Tournaments: Attendance at tournaments will be by invitation. Invites to attend a particular tournament will be based on ability, availability and positional play needed to field a team.
Jerseys: The Blue body Red sleeves Cubs jersey will be worn for tournament games. If you have one already great, wear it, if you do not then one can be provided on loan with a $50 deposit.
Caps: A New Era Cubs cap must be worn by all players for tournament games. If you don't have one already then they are available for $25 from the league.
Pants: Players should wear baseball pants for all events. For games they must be white preferably with blue piping up the side.
Helmets: If you do not have a matte blue helmet with the Cubs logo then this is also a good time to get one on sale from a local store or from the league.
A special run of Hoodies are available to all Fall Ball participants. These are being arranged through the SamGroup. There is a choice of sizes with your name on the sleeve. There will be a one time order and late or re-orders may not be available.
